Consultant Breast Surgeons

Ms. Lucy Khan

Mr. Chris Cartlidge

Breast Augmentation – You receive a cosmetic consultation with a breast specialist, no obligation and no pressure to proceed. We will use our experience to assess your breast aesthetics and discuss the potential success of surgery in helping you to realise your goals. There are many new types of implant available to enhance the size and feel of your breasts including soft-touch smooth implants or textured teardrop implantsAugmentation is normally undertaken through a ‘secret’ incision, hidden in the lower fold of the breast. Click here to learn more about the procedure.

Aesthetic and Cosmetic Breast Surgery – We undertake breast reduction for patients who are unhappy with, or have symptoms from, large breasts. This can involve a scar hidden in the lower fold of the breast, going up vertically and around the nipple. Breasts change naturally as you age, and these changes can be more pronounced after pregnancy and breastfeeding; breast-lift surgery (mastopexy) can help enhance and restore a more youthful appearance to the breasts. We can also correct inverted nipples.

Salvage Breast Surgery – Where patients have capsular contracture, implant complications or poor results from previous surgery, we are always happy to assess the situation. We can undertake implant exchange to place brand new implants or can remove implants altogether, including a full capsulectomy, where required. Ms Khan and Mr Cartlidge undertake surgery to salvage complex implant problems, including pioneering techniques of fresh fat transfer from the thighs and abdomen where this is likely to augment recovery.

Breast Cancer – Full assessment and treatment of breast cancer including breast-conserving wide local excision or mammaplasty, lymph node surgery and surgery for recurrent breast cancer or complex salvage surgery. Risk-reducing mastectomies for patients at high risk of breast cancer available when suitable.

Breast Reconstruction – Immediate or delayed breast reconstruction surgery with implant reconstruction (including nipple-sparing mastectomy through a hidden breast fold incision) or muscle-flap reconstruction.

Benign Breast Disease – Surgery to remove breast lumps, treat nipple discharge or remove moles and lumps from the skin of the breast. Removal of breast implants for patients with Breast Implant DIsease (BID).

I really value her opinion and feel that she says it like it is which is invaluable at a time when I have so many decisions to make. When i thought i had a problem a few weeks after surgery she was amazing fitting me in to see her even though she was in surgery that day. I really feel so lucky to have Lucy in my team and can’t recommend her enough.”
